The Moving Voice Experience is the wild twin of my business-focused training and offers a space for self-development and artistry through voice and movement practice.

Open to everyone. It will typically suit people who are curious about voice work as a path to personal development, confident communication or who are invested in deep work on their voice for their profession. (Actors, singers, performers, etc.).

The sessions offer an experiential journey into body awareness, breath, vocal freedom, expressive speech and offer a creative approach to communication on stage and off.

The Moving Voice Experience

Your true potential!

The human experience can hold vast reservoirs and range of feeling.

All of which can be channelled through the voice to reveal your true intent and move others when you speak.

However, tensions acquired through living and learnt patterns of social behaviour since childhood get in the way of the voice revealing its true potential.

Your potential!

The Moving Voice Experience offers a space where you can gently improve posture, breath, and movement efficiency through mindful exploration, creating a supple foundation for the voice to emerge with ease, strength and authenticity.

The fundamental basis of the work is to soften the psychological and physical blocks that inhibit you and help you rediscover the natural potency of your voice in all it’s human colours!

  • "I would highly recommend working with Ben, not only to begin on a path of self-discovery of the voice, but to becoming a better and more organic actor connected to mind and body."

    Georgia Jay (Giri/Haji: BBC/Netflix)

  • "Ben continues to help me find my true voice, which can sometimes get lost through conditioning, habit and tension. His classes have helped me develop my self-confidence both professionally and personally."

About me

Hello! I am a voice and movement specialist working in the arts and business.

Originally, I trained as a dancer in the nineties before retraining as an actor and working in theatre, film and television.

Despite success as an actor, I felt a bit lost in the industry and realized why when I found my way ‘back to the body’ through voice work on the MA in Voice Studies at The Royal Central School of Speech of Drama in 2011 where I remained to teach.

During this time, I trained under my late mentor Kristin Linklater whose method is referred to as ‘Freeing the Natural Voice’ and became one of 200 teachers worldwide personally designated by Kristin to teach her work.

Since then, I have combined this with extensive training in somatics, (Feldenkrais) mind/body wisdom and leadership. I have coached 1000’s of actor’s in drama school, and the profession whilst developing a business coaching practice

The Moving Voice is a culmination of my work to date. It is purposeful ‘studio’ experience designed to offer the rigour of actor training for people from all walks of life who wish to develop themselves.
